On the website an example itinerary can be found.
There are no set times for departure and no set itinerary. That is why we have “Example itinerary and activities” listed on the website that can be changed on a daily basis depending on numerous factors and for any reason especially where it is deemed necessary. Unfortunately this happens in nautical adventure tourism and with this type of travel nothing will ever be perfect. There are so many factors that can cause challenges from weather, yacht, 3rd party activity operators, issues at restaurants and bars etc.
Due to the nature of sailing the skipper of all our yacht/boat reserves the right to change course from any particular itinerary

NOTE: Only Premium and Deluxe spots bookings get groceries for breakfast and lunch.
“Groceries for breakfast and lunch” are included only in premium (The Basis) and deluxe (The Feast) spot bookings and delivered straight to your yachts on Saturday afternoon before you start your sailing trip. It includes all basic household items necessary for the week on the yacht. Breakfast groceries such as cereals (corn flakes and muesli), fruit, nutella, ham, bacon, cheese, spread cheese, butter, mozzarella, eggs, milk, yogurt, coffee and tea.
Mediterranean style groceries for the light lunch include pasta, rice, tomato sauce, pesto, cooking cream, Parmigiano, canned tuna, olives, vegetables (like tomato, cucumbers, zucchini, onion…), fresh fruit (like bananas, watermelon, peaches, apples…), olive oil, sunflower oil, balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.
You’ll get a couple of liters of soft drinks (orange and apple juice) and bottled water.
Furthermore, the package contains paper towels, soaps, dishwasher detergent, sponges, toilet papers and garbage bags.
With the food packages provided, simple preparation is required. There are enough groceries for breakfast and one meal per day (half board) but you have to prepare it by yourself. You are also required to keep the yacht tidy and clean the dishes. Deluxe spot bookings come with a hostess to do all this for you.
NOTE: Those who are booking the full yacht have the option of booking the hostess who will cook and prepare the meals and clean after.
We are not going to control how much you eat and how often you are preparing your meals. As said, there are enough groceries for breakfast and one meal per day (half board). If you run out of food you may bring your own food and drinks onboard any time at no additional charge. There are local shops and supermarkets at most shore stops to resupply if needed.

If you prefer not to be in the photographs please notify us when you board so the photographer can avoid taking shots of you.
We encourage our guests to take their own photos to share with friends and the rest of the crew by tagging #SailWeek, #SailWeekCroatia, #SailWeekGreece, #SailWeekMontenegro on social media.

Sea sickness is something that can be managed. Skippers carry nausea/seasick prevention tablets. If you are feeling unwell, let the skipper know and he/she will look after you.
Please note that avoiding acidic foods and drinks and not missing sleep can help prevent seasickness. If you know that you are prone to seasickness, you can prepare for your trip by checking out this website.
Yes, of course. Every yacht comes equipped with life jackets and dinghies. The skippers are more than happy to take you to and from the beach on the dinghy whenever you are anchored off shore.

SailWeek’s spot booking guests are from 18 to 40 years of age, depending on the route.

If one of your friends is over 36, we suggest booking a full yacht.
Age limit for spot bookings at Athens, Dubrovnik and Montenegro route is from 20 to 40 years of age.
While making a booking the head booker has to confirm that all the guests are within the age range for the specific route.
If we discover guests are outside of this age range, SailWeek reserves the right to cancel without refund.
On full yacht bookings there is no age limitation.

SailWeek does not own the yachts, charter companies do.
The charter company requires payment of a refundable deposit by card authorisation on your first day. Providing there is no damage at the end of the week, this will be returned in full on the checkout. Deposit amount depends on yacht type and class ranging from €1500 – €5000.
There is a possibility the yacht you choose when making your booking may not be available. As a result we reserve the right to cancel your booking up to 10 working days from your booking date. In all cases we will endeavour to offer an appropriate alternative yacht. If a suitable replacement is not available a full refund will be offered.
Sailing is an adventurous sport and damages on the boats are sometimes unavoidable. Charter companies own the boats and sometimes the yacht you booked unfortunately may not be available for your week due to damage or other reasons. For that we must reserve the right to replace the boat you have booked. If we are forced to replace the boat, we will notify you as soon as possible before departure and provide you with the same or similar model or standard of the yacht to the original booking. If the replacement yacht is of lower standard or price, we will always refund the difference in price.

Crew List must be complete and accurate, which includes surname, name, residence, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, nationality and their full contact (email and phone).
This applies to all bookings (spot and full yacht).
Crew list can be filled by logging on the head bookers SailWeek account.
For larger groups of 6 or more, filling your own yacht will be easy. The price per person is generally lower and you can guarantee that you are travelling with your friends.
Cabin bookings are great if you want to make new friends. You will be grouped with like-minded people, and not have to deal with chasing and organizing all of your friends. Just book your spot(s) and they can join you when they are ready. If you and your friends book at separate times, we always do our best to make sure you are on the same yacht as long as we are notified at the time of booking.
We recommend a group of 6-10 for a full yacht booking. There are some viable options for as few as 4 people if needed.
Full yachts book quickly, especially in the peak season. If you are travelling with a group, book early to ensure you have the best options!
Yes, we have spot and cabin bookings available.
Bookings can be done completely online via the booking section of our website. Alternatively, you can contact us directly by e-mail at info@sailweek.tours or call us if you have questions or need assistance booking.
We mostly use 4 cabin boats that accommodate 8 persons. In case there are 9 or 10 of you on the same spot booking we cannot guarantee that you will be allocated on the same boat but we will do our best to accommodate you.
It is one of the most frequently asked questions. There are three different situations, and this is how you will be sure that you are on the same yacht with your friends.
Please note, that the max number of spot bookers that can be connected on the same boat is 8 persons.
Check more on our blog: Are we on the same yacht?
1. If you book and pay together, you will be together on the same yacht by default.
There is no need to write or ask us to put you in the same boat. When you book, you are going to get the number of the reservation. People with the same reservation number are always on the same boat.
2. If you book and pay separately:
If you have more than one reservation number, add a note (while booking online) with your friends’ names or Reservation numbers and ask us to be together with them, and we will place you together.
For example, Your reservation number is 100/2022. Your friends want to book two months later. While booking online, they will add a note that they want to be together with reservation number 100/2022.
Example:
3. If you and your friends have already made your booking and received Reservation numbers from us and you did not make an earlier note to place you together.
In that case, please, let us know on time, and we will make changes needed to place you together. Please send us an email to info@sailweek.tours with your names and reservations numbers, and we are going to take care that you will be on the same boat.
Please note: We use sail yachts that accommodate 8 to 10 guests.
Yes, you can.
When you rent a full yacht you are responsible for gathering the crew.
There is no minimum number of guests on full yacht options, only maximum regarding the boat capacity.
You can add and change names of the crew members until 30 days prior the trip starting.
After you’ve done the payment you can split the cost among the fellow crew mates
On spot bookings for Party and Ultra route, age limit is 36 years of age. If one of your friends is over 36 we suggest booking a full yacht. On full yacht bookings there is no age limit.
Age limit for spot bookings at Athens, Dubrovnik and Montenegro route is from 20 to 40 years of age.

Change requests can only be for the current season. It is SailWeek’s right to grant changes at its own discretion. Once a change is approved price differences are applied by the following criteria:
If the price of the new date or route is higher than your initial booking, a difference in price will be applied, or
if the price of the new date or route is the same or lower than your initial booking, the price and the payment plan will be kept as on your initial booking.
CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMERS
Free cancelation applies only for bookings made a minimum of 30 days before the trip, 48 hours after the booking is confirmed.
If you wish to cancel your changed booking, cancelation rules apply from the date you made your initial booking.
When you commit to coming on holiday with us, we book yachts and make other financial commitments to skippers and sundry suppliers in order to be able to provide you with a holiday.
IF YOU ARE PAYING IN INSTALMENTS/PAYMENT PLAN
Should your circumstances change and you have to cancel, we will need to charge you a cancellation fee in order to offset these financial obligations we have taken on to serve you. The cancellation fee will be the total value of instalments due up to the point of cancellation.
IF YOU PAID THE FULL AMOUNT WHILE MAKING A BOOKING
If you paid the full amount when booking, the cancellation fee will be the same as it would have been had you chosen to pay by instalments.
Where you choose to cancel your booking, the Head Booker should inform us immediately at info@sailweek.tours.
All Travel vouchers must be used within summer season 2023 latest by August 2023.
After August 2023 all the travel credits expire and the guests who didn’t use them will lose the money.
It is not possible to extend the validation of your travel vouchers!
No. Unfortunately it is not possible to postpone trips anymore.
In case you need to cancel your trip, we will need to charge you a cancellation fee in order to offset these financial obligations we have taken on to serve you.
The cancellation fee will be the total value of installments due up to the point of cancellation.
After you have notified us in writing about your cancellation, we will issue a Letter of cancellation that can be used to claim the money lost from your travel insurance.
Yachts
The main difference is the age of the boat and the extras you get, depending on your booking.
Imagine a difference between a 10-15 year old car and a new car. It’s the same when it comes to boats.
Standard spot yachts are older and premium spot yachts are newer and nicer + you get a groceries package for breakfast and lunch (The basis) and water taxi included (Croatia) in premium spot bookings
Standard spot yachts were made from 2002 to 2015, and premium from 2016 to 2023.
Deluxe spot yachts are catamarans built from 2016 to 2023 and have AC when on shore power, water taxi (Croatia), hostess and the feast food package included.
We have created 4 different yacht categories so everyone can find the yacht that suits them the best according to the number of people and the budget.
ECONOMY YACHTS
The cheapest way to travel. Older boats built up to 2015.
PREMIUM YACHTS
Newer boats without AC built from 2016 to 2023.
PREMIUM AC
This yacht has AC but it can be used only when docked in the evenings and connected to the shore power.
DELUXE AC
Yes, this is the one. This yacht has a generator which means you can have AC on the boat 24/7. Regardless of where and when you dock, you’ll always have a cooled yacht.
The yacht specifications and pictures on our website are for general information purposes only. Discrepancies can be possible between your yacht and the yacht shown on the website.
For the Party route we use 5 different marinas in Split area.
You will find out the final location of your departure marina and how to get there, latest 7 days before the trip by logging to your SailWeek account.
Please note that some of the guests may have their departure marina located 30 km from Split in Trogir or Seget.
In that case we recommend using our partner company for transfers, booking.hr
Prices of Uber and private taxis can be high during the peak season so we don’t recommend using them. All the marinas can also be reached by public bus transportation.
Price of the shared car/taxi from Split to Trogir/Seget shouldn’t be higher than 50EUR.
SailWeek yachts in Croatia and Montenegro are supplied with a WIFI device and has unlimited data for a week so you can freely enjoy your holiday by sharing photos and videos on Social media by tagging SailWeek.
Unfortunately in Greece there is not an option to have a WiFI on the boat.
Cafes and restaurants in all SailWeek destinations have free internet access for customers and are easily accessible any time we are not sailing.
A/C is not available in Standard and Premium spot/cabin bookings.
Only a few of the biggest and newest mono hulls and some of the catamarans will have A/C available in full yacht bookings.
A/C is only available :
- Some specific yacht models in full yacht bookings
- Deluxe cabin spot bookings when connected on shore power
Air conditioning on a boat is not of the same standard you may be used to on land! A/C on board is designed to be used when docked in the marina whilst sleeping and is sometimes not available in every cabin. The cooling ability is not as powerful as A/C found on land and when used continuously during the day the chance of malfunction increases.
Most of the yachts have 4-5 cabins, which hold 8-10 guests plus the skipper. You will not know who is on your yacht until we do final allocations closer to the departure date. You’ll meet your crew when you come on the boat. We do our best to achieve a well balanced mix of like minded people.
We do not enforce a ratio for our guests. Male/female ratio depends on a guests who booked that week. Most of the weeks it’s s equal, but sometimes can be in favor of females/males.
When it comes to allocating guests on the yachts we always try to make a prefect crew list based on gender, age and mixed nationalities. Crew lists depend on the guests who booked that week. Most of the weeks we have equal gender ratio but sometimes that is not the case. Also the layout of the boats sometimes doesn’t allow us to allocate people the way we want.
For solo travellers and odd groups of friends, we will do our best and try to put you in the bunk bed where you’ll share a cabin with the person same gender. Sometimes the gender ratio is not equal so there is a possibility that you can be grouped with someone of the opposite gender sharing a bunk or a double bed cabin.
Most yachts have an input jack in their stereo system so you can connect your smartphone/music device to the boat system. SailWeek will provide a cable that allows you to connect your smartphone/tablet/portable music player.
Each yacht has an indoor and outdoor common area (saloon). They are compact but comfortable, although they are not especially spacious inside. There is a full kitchen and dining area on each yacht, as well as refrigeration, electricity, speakers, and other amenities.
The cabin rooms are shared. Most yacht cabins have a double bed which will hold two people. Others have bunk beds. The cabins have small cupboards and closets for clothes. There are bathrooms and showers on all yachts.
Please keep in mind that sailing yachts are not luxury hotels. If you have ever traveled in an RV, it is a similar experience…just on the water!
Most small electrical requirements require 240 volt power. The boat will only have 240 volt power when it is docked in the marina, which will likely only be 3-4 nights of the week.
Phones, tablet computers, GoPros, and other similar items can be charged any time via a 12 volt to USB converter on the boat. SailWeek will provide a USB converter for the boat.
There is limited storage space on the yachts, so we recommend bringing your luggage in a soft sided bag. If you are staying in SailWeek destinations for a while and carrying a large suitcase, we advise bringing a soft bag to take what you need for the week on the yachts and put the larger suitcase in the storage we provide for €30 per week/ per bag
We sail for between 2-4 hours every day. The islands are relatively close together and you will never be sailing in the open sea out of sight of land.
When we are not sailing, what you do is up to you! You can stay on the yacht or explore the islands. All of the yachts will travel together, which gives plenty of opportunities for combined social activities and regattas.
Safety is our number one priority. Our team consists of experienced skippers. As long as you listen to your skipper, you will be in good hands!
Skippers&Hostess
Since there is always a lot of work to be done around the boat to keep everything in order, every task must be properly delegated between the crew.
Primary duties of a hostess are taking care of the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat and preparing the meals for the crew.
She is responsible for:
- Keeping the common boat areas nice and tidy (kitchen, salon, deck, cockpit)
- Preparing light breakfast for the crew and the skipper
- Preparing light lunch for the crew
- Washing the dishes
- Changing the toilet bin once daily or more if necessary
- Taking out the trash
NOTES:
Hostess does not clean the toilets used by the guests but she will replace the toilet bin every day. Hostess does not clean cabins as they are considered private guest rooms unless she is asked.
Our hostesses are educated and well informed so they can help you regarding everything you want to know about your SailWeek.
Consider her and skipper as a part of your group. They will answer all your questions, give recommendations and explain things regarding the local traditions.
If you are booking a hostess you have to save a cabin for her and the skipper. If there are crew cabins on the boat, they are occupied by our staff. If there are no crew cabins on the boat, you have to save one bunk bed or a double bed cabin for the hostess and the skipper.
Just like you, your skipper and hostess need to eat.
For full yacht bookings – For those who ordered our food packages (most common) the skipper and hostess meals are included in this food package too but don’t worry there’s more than enough to go around.
Even if you did not purchase one of our meal packages, you must still ensure that your skipper and hostess are fed and have water, so keep this in mind when you go shopping. Please remember to feed your skipper if you did not reserve a hostess. A well-fed skipper is a happy skipper.
For spot bookings – Food is included only in Premium and Deluxe spot bookings and your skippers meals are included in this package.
For Standard spot bookings and full yacht bookings that don’t buy food packages it’s common to buy food for your boat at the start of the week otherwise you’ll spend your days constantly looking for stores. Our recommendation is to create a piggy bank at the beginning of the week between you for the food. Just remember to include the cost of your skipper and hostess food in that.
If you go to a restaurant It’s common to share the cost of the skippers meal between the guests.
You will be required to prepare your own food and clean up after yourself. Don’t worry – you are not alone on the yacht and everyone may choose to rotate duties. Keep in mind that the skipper is also a part of the crew. Don’t forget to prepare a meal for him/her as well!
NOTE: Those who are booking the full yacht have the option of booking a food package and a hostess who will cook and prepare the meals and clean after.
All of our crew are fluent in English. They are excellent hosts and will go out of their way to make sure you have an incredible trip!
Helping the skipper and participating in the sailing is a normal thing that all the guests do on any of the sailing trips. Also, it is common that one of the guests from the group swims to the shore with landline ropes. Most guests enjoy helping the skipper throw a rope or drop the anchor. It becomes a learning experience which is part of an adventure holiday.

We use 5 different marinas in Split area.
You will find out the final location of your departure marina latest 7 days before the trip by logging to your SailWeek account.
Please note that some of the guests may have their departure marina located 30 km from Split in Trogir or Seget.
In that case we recommend using our partner company for transfers, booking.hr
Prices of Uber and private taxis are extremely high during the festival so we don’t recommend using them.
